Thursday, September 1, 2022 –Cleophas Malala’s mother today morning caused a scene following a raid by police at son’s residence in Kakamega.
The visibly angry mother was seen confronting the Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI police officers who had started breaking into his mansion located at Milimani area in the suburbs of Kakamega Town.
In a video seen by this writer, the mother can be seen daring the police to, instead, arrest her so that she could save the son who had just suffered a major loss in the recent election.
Malala’s mother wondered why the police could not wait for the son to rest a few more weeks before coming for him if, at all, there is any crime they feel he had committed.
She claimed that the move to come for her son was a political vendetta purely orchestrated by the outgoing Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
“We learnt that the police were here when we were at home. Cleo is young and he still has a long way to go. He is not a criminal.
“Why are you torturing my son? As a mother I cannot stand this kind of intimidation,” she stated as David(Father) charged that Cleo is still a leader.
She has urged both the outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to save her son from this humiliation by talking to their charges who are sending police to their home.
