Mama Ngina Kenyatta Security Withdrawn

Tuesday, July 18, 2023 –State has withdrawn all security detail from the founding family of Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

News reaching Homenes.co.ke on Tuesday July 18 evening, indicated that Ngina’s security had been withdrawn from her Gatundu and Muthaiga homes just hours after Raila Odinga’s State security was also recalled, tow days ago.

Mama Ngina, who is also former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mother, had her security withdrawn this evening at about 5PM with officers from both the General Service Unit GSU and Administration Police AP told to leave and report to the nearest police station.

According to officials from the family, the former First Lady was not notified of the actions by the government, before this was implemented.

Before the first recall last year, she had a total of 30 officers guarding all her premises combined with the senior chief inspector.

When William Ruto took charge from Uhuru Kenyatta last year August, the former first lady was left with only eight officers in total with the senior most being a senior sergeant.

All the personnel now having been withdrawn amid threats by some ruling party-allied politicians to lead counter-protests to her homes in Nairobi and Gatundu tomorrow.

Government has been accusing the founding First lady of financing the opposition to give headache to the William Ruto’s new leadership.
