A man who whipped former premier Raila Odinga has resurfaced with calls for a handshake.
Lengo Karisa Mudzomba who committed the crime of storming a podium where Odinga was addressing, has come out again with another plea to shake Raila Odinga’s hand so as to believe he was forgiven.
He committed this crime in 2014 but went unpunished when both Odinga and area Governor Salim Mvurya forgave him. They even withdrew a case that he was facing in court.
But with some locals linking him to drugs while others claiming he had been hired to interfere with the rally, Karisa clarified that none of the above was true.
“I would urge them to make time from their busy schedule and visit me, I would really be happy as someone who was born today,” Mudzomba urged.
Due to insecurity concerns, he had to take refuge to his kins home in Kaloleni Mombasa fearing for his life where he thought some people were baying for his blood.
When he was asked to account for his actions that took place at Kinango Subcounty Kwale Grounds during a reforms rally by ODM, he defended that he had no ill motive and neither was he under any influence as was reported by a section.
“I was from taking tea and went to the event. I still do not know how I ended up whipping them, I just remember being pushed to the ground. I was accused of drinking and taking hard drugs by the locals who demanded answers to why I canned Raila,” he narrated.
Since committing the offense, he now claims he has never been at peace and now wants to meet the Orange Democratic Movement ODM boss Mr. Odinga and his crew so that he can officially be forgiven. His brother told the media.
The stick he used to whip Odinga is yet to be traced as he says it is a sign of bad luck.
