Margaret Nduta is not going to be hanged as of now. Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege has made the confirmation.
In her statement when she went to meet the family in Muranga, Ms Chege explained that she had raised the matter both in the Parliament and with President William Ruto who quickly intervened to start talks with their Vietnam counterparts.
“This is matter I personally raised with both the president and the Parliament and a lot of backbench communications are going on,” she revealed.
Chege has also asked social media users to be sensitive with the whole matter saying this is a difficult time for the family and friends of Nduta who require sympathy and a bit of privacy.
She assured the family that President Ruto is personally following up on the case of the 37-year-old Kenyan woman sentenced to death in Vietnam for drug trafficking.
