Saturday, March 26, 2022 –Narc-Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has officially joined Azimio la Umoja Movement campaigns.
Today Saturday March 26, the iron lady who was donning the Azimio la Umoja colours including a branded blue cap was seen together with other bigwigs traversing Kakamega County in their bid to take power from August 9 when general election will be conducted.
In the trail was also former Gatanga Member of Parliament Peter Kenneth and scores of other ANC defected lawmakers including Lurambi MP Titus Khamala, Tindi Mwale of Butere who was given an ODM direct ticket, and Navakholo’s Emmanuel Wangwe also who has joined ODM Party.
Raila used the opportunity to ask Western Region residents to support his bid for the presidency saying he was ready to help the region join government from August this year.
The opposition supremo also promised to give Governor Oparanya a top position in his government when Azimio wins the elections.
“There is no vacancy left. I will be taking your Governor Oparanya up with me as Fernandes Barasa takes over Kakamega. The King has gone long live the King,” He noted.
Raila staged successful campaigns in several parts of Kakamega County including Khwisero and Butere sub counties.
