Martin Wambora elected Chairman of Governors

Friday, January 29, 2021 -News reaching this desk indicate that Martin Wambora who is the current Governor of Embu County has been elected Council of Governors CoG Chairman.

Sources revealed that Wambora defeated his Tana River counterpart Godhana Dhadho in a race that saw Kisii Governor James Ongwae take over the Vice Chairman position.

Former CoG Chairman also Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has therefore been relieved this duty which he has served for two years.

Wambora is among the governors with the characteristic nine lives of a cat after surviving several impeachment processes while serving the Embu residents.

He would surprise again when he managed to get his reelection back to office to serve for a second term.

According to Tuko.co.ke, Wambora floored Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu) and Salim Mvirya of Kwale to clinch the prestigious position.
