Friday, October 15, 2021 -Self-confessed serial killer Masten Wanjala has reportedly been lynched in Bungoma just hours after breaking loose from custody.
Masten escaped form Jogoo Road Police Station in mysterious circumstances and two days later he was spotted mingling with kids in Bungoma’s Kabuchai village before he ran into hiding in a neighbour’s home after he learnt that some school kids had identified his face.
In a case he was to face, Masten had 13 murder counts according to detectives who he had taken through his heinous activities.
In a video doing rounds son social media, the culprit today Friday morning faced a painful demise after he was beaten to death by irate mob at his Mukhweya Village, Bungoma where he had gone to hide.
His death was confirmed by area chief Mr Boniface Ndiera who said that he received a phone call from a resident of Mukhweya Village who informed him that jail bird had been spotted.
“There were children who were going to school and they saw him. The children were able to identify him and they alerted the security.” the Chief told Citizen Digital.
After realizing that he had been identified, Wanjala reportedly took to his heels but, unfortunately, he had been seen by the locals who were baying for his blood.
According to the residents, the suspect dashed into a neighbour’s home where he locked himself in one house before he was flashed out and beaten to his death.
