Matiang’i Gives Itumbi 72 Hours to Delete Tweets, Apologize

Matiang’i who has been quiet for along time despite being insulted severally by blogger Itumbi has now come out with a 3 day warning asking Itumbi to delete all the insulting tweets against him or face off in court.

Dr. Matiang’i’s Lawyer has written a stern Demand Notice to Itumbi directing him to cease forthwith writing and posting defamatory remarks against his client – the CS – and to delete the many tweets still live on his platform. Further, Itumbi is also required to make an official apology on the same.

Papers from the lawyer Vanco Nyamodi Advocates have given Mr. Itumbi until Friday August 13 this week to comply with the notice failure to which action shall be taken against him.

“Our client further demands an unconditional apology for the defamatory statements published via your verified Twitter account in a manner to be approved by our client.

“We are further instructed to demand as we hereby do your immediate admission of liability whereupon our client shall engage you on the quantum of damages and any other retribution for your defamatory publications,” the letter read in part.

Reacting to the demand letter, the unmoved former Statehouse Digital Strategist promised to issue a conclusive response in the next 24 hours.

“CS Fred Matiang’i has written to me, threatening to sue me for describing him for what he is – Ruaraka Thief. I will respond to this letter tomorrow” Itumbi tweeted back.

He boasted that this was now his opportune moment to finally spill the beans and prove to the world that Mr. Matiang’i is not a clean State officer.
