Thursday, October 7, 2021 -Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr, Fred Matiang’i could be impeached anytime if the 92 signatures collected are authenticated.
This is from the report that Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali also called Jicho Pevu had tabled a motion in that regard. He argues in his petition that CS Matiang’i should be out of office for failure to respect court orders, misuse of power, laxity on job leading to deaths of many Kenyans as well as disrespect to fellow leaders some who are senior to him.
Homenews. co.ke learnt that most of those who have already appended their signs on the impeachment notice are politicians leaning towards DP William Ruto.
“Your time is up. Signatures ready. We are going to impeach you for killing Kenya,” Moha Jicho Pevu threatened.
Sometimes back during both Kiambaa and Bomachoge by-elections, a good number of MPs both from Kieleweke and Tangatanga camps had agreed to remove the CS but the debate faded along the way.
Also in that previous agreement were ODM allied MPs whose party leader Raila Odinga issued a stern warning against the CS saying brutal force the police were applying in by-elections would not be tolerated.
In the impeachment list this desk has seen, MPs Alice Wahome (Kandara), Didmus Barasa (Kimilili), Aisha Jumwa (Malindi), Gathoni Wamuchomba (Kiambu), Anab Gore (Garissa), Gladys Shollei (Uasin Gishu) among others had already appended their signatures.
