Tuesday, March 14, 2023 –Reunion between former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and President William Ruto continues to elicit mixed reactions from around the country.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu and billionaire business mogul John Simba are reportedly working all-round the clock to make this process a success.

It started when on Sunday March 12, Education Cabinet Secretary Mr. Machogu chaired a meeting with Gusii leaders to enhance regional development.

This meeting saw Dr. Matiang’i also attend just days after he had been dragged to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI headquarters over his home raid claims.

In the meeting, Machogu’s Kisii homecoming ceremony was made an agenda and word has it that Matiang’i will be gracing the event.

“Fred Matiang’i and I will be hosting president William Ruto @WilliamsRuto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua @rigathi Thanksgiving ceremony at Gusii stadium. There is a need for inclusiveness,” A Twitter handle @HonMachogu linked to CS Machogu updated the public.

Machogu has continuously affirmed that his goal was to unite all Gusii leaders irrespective of their political affiliation.

Mr. Simba, on the other hand, a key and close ally of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, is touted as one of the key leaders championing for the truce between the former CS and President William Ruto.

He is adversely mentioned as a critical figure who funded Uhuru Kenyatta’s 2017 presidential campaign through a Foundation titled Friends of Jubilee Foundation. He was the lobby’s chairman in the seven-member foundation.
