Monday, November 8, 2021 –Jasper Muthomi popular by the stage name MC Jessy has officially joined politics to vie for South Imenti parliamentary seat.

Releasing a statement on his plans today Monday November 8, the Churchill Show top comedian said he wants to throw a hat into politics so that he can accomplish areas he feels have not been well addressed by the past leadership.

This announcement follows an endorsement he received from local elders who gave him the green light to replace current MP whom many claim did not understand well his legislative role.

“This weekend I was grateful and humbled by the elders that raised me and who are from my home constituency of South Imenti when they honored and bestowed on me the blessings & responsibilities to lead South Imenti Constituency as the Member Of Parliament,” he remarked.

He also spent some moments with the elders who have already indicated their willingness to offer him full support to dethrone the current leader.

They armed him with  both a spear and a shield as a cultural or symbolic sign of leadership, defence and unity.

Jasper is yet to hint which political party he will be using to race against his competitors who include the incumbent Kathuri Murungi of Jubilee Party.

MP Murungi is winding up his second term having got into office in 2013.
