Thursday, October 20, 2022 –Exiled Lawyer Miguna Miguna has outlined a series of activities he will be engaging in now that he is back in the country.
Miguna who was welcomed home by some of his supporters who had started camping at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport JKIA six hours early, was happy to be back home after five years of exile following his fallout with Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime.
Following his arrival from Canada where he also works and lives with family, the outspoken lawyer said he will be part of the Mashujaa Day guests today after President William Ruto invited him.
Relatives, friends and supporters were seen very happy as he also addressed them and walked around with them.
“What has happened to me, should never happen to anyone else. A Kenyan-born citizen cannot be discarded or removed forcefully and vanished in a foreign land,” he said.
Dr. Miguna was officially invited at the Mashujaa Day celebrations held at Uhuru Gardens today October 20.
The lawyer’s brother, Erick Ondiek, informed the media that this was the only moment the family was waiting for and it has come to pass.
“We were very pleased when he alerted us that he has been issued with his passport and the red alerts that were placed on him were lifted and he was allowed to come back,” he said as quoted by the Star.
Going forward, Dr. Miguna will be embarking on the difficult task of re-organising their Nyanza base in order to grab it off the hands of long-serving Nyanza kingpin Raila Odinga with whom they cannot see eye to eye.
