Thursday, May 23, 2024 –Mombasa County Government has permanently banned miraa business and consumption.
County Governor Abdullswamad Sharrif Nassir, today Thursday May 23, issued an executive order for a total prohibition on the sale, entry, transportation, distribution and use of Mugukaa within his Mombasa County.
Directive effective from May 23, 2024 also mandates the immediate closure of all outlets dealing in the substance, with a strict warning against the transportation of the product within the county.
