Thursday, August 29, 2024 –Lawyer Kabaso Morara has continued to clash with Statehouse operatives over his conversation with President William Ruto.

On Thursday August 29, Kabaso, on his X, maintained that, despite heavy backlash from government communication team, Ruto called him and that government spokesman Isaac Mwaura also knows that this happened.

Kabaso added that he will not delve into much details and or work hard to prove this as called upon by Hussein Mohamed because of the respect he has for the presidency.

“I am not going to follow the footsteps of those leaders who used to record the president or put him on loud speaker to prove a point. I don’t think it’s good manners. For that reason, I will not focus on proving whether or not it happened. Isaac Mwaura knows it happened. William Ruto knows it happened. End of story. Let’s focus on kutengua mahali ametenga. The call is not of any importance in the fight for good governance and end of corruption. Let’s not divert the conversation. The nation knows who the liar is between me and Dr. William Ruto,” he further stated.

In a counter-claim, Government spokesman Isaac Mwaura distanced himself from that knowledge saying this remains just wild claims from Mr. Morara.

“Morara Kebaso, I am not aware of any call from the President to you. Please examine your conscience and show some patriotism. I just bumped into you at KICC like any other fellow citizen. Be honest with yourself,” he responded.

Morara, while appearing on Citizen Tv JKL Live show on Wednesday August 28, invoked the name of the president saying, he(Ruto) made a direct phone call to him over a job offer.

This claim was received with mixed reactions from some of the Statehouse communication team among them Hussein Mohamed who has called upon Morara to substantiate.
