Saturday, June 19, 2021 -Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah has defended himself against claims of decamping to Uhuru Kenyatta’s camp.
Happening after weeks of silence and speculations, the MP always allied to DP William Ruto’s Tangatanga camp has responded to those accusing him of having ditched Ruto for Uhuru.
Through his Twitter Handle on Saturday June 19, the Kikuyu legislator refuted claims that he had or was planning to switch his allegiance.
“I am NOT and I can NEVER be in the Tuju-Murathe-Uhuru-Raila Alliance. Hiyo ni yao. Hustler Nation forever,” he wrote.

Kimani’s message is coming at a time politicians are grappling with their next political move ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Ichung’wah has been a vocal supporter of the Hustler Nation in the Mt. Kenya region and any plan to leave the group may be a big blow.
Among other MPs supporting Ruto’s presidency are Mathira’s Rigathi Gachagua, Gatundu’s Moses Kuria, Alice Wahome, Kirinyaga Woman Representative Purity Ngirici among others.
