Sunday, September 12, 2021 -Former Starehe legislator Maina Kamanda has listed politicians sabotaging ODM/Jubilee merger ahead of 2022.
In a new turn of events, MP Kamanda has linked the likes of Kieni Lawmaker Kanini Kega to the ongoing wrangles in their Jubilee Party by saying his(Kega’s) group wants both Tuju and David Murathe out of office so that they can bring in weaker persons whom they can manipulate to finally join Ruto ahead of 2022.
Kamanda believes Raila Odinga, now at 76, is the most auspicious candidate to take power from Uhuru who is retiring. This is because Odinga is headed to his sunset age and giving him an opportunity this time will atleast give his supporters some hope after along time.
“There could be a secret plot by some members of Jubilee Party to frustrate the coalition plans with ODM,” Kamanda has said.
The Nominated MP claimed that Kanini and friends have been pushing for unnecessary changes in Jubilee Party for selfish reasons of auctioning the ruling party to the highest bidder.
“They need to be investigated because we may have some people who want to take the leadership of the party and then sell it.
“This is a time for campaigns and you cannot trust anybody,” Kamanda cautioned.
Orange Democratic Movement and Jubilee are currently working on a formula that will see them come up with a formidable coalition that will eneble them to face-off with Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 duel.
