Thursday, April 15, 2021 -Orange Democratic Movement ODM MP Peter Opondo Kaluma has asked Kenyans to live with the reality of suffering because of their choices.

In a sarcastic manner, the Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament said the current difficult living condition in the country is as a result of poor leadership which Kenyans chose.

Deputy President William Ruto(left) with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He went on to mock anyone who supported the Uhuruto duo twice not to direct their anger on Mr. Odinga because he is not the President neither is he a vice president,

“We thank those who denied Raila Odinga and voted for this government heartily for what Kenya has become. Let us be patience as Kenyans. We are together to the end,” he said.

According to Mr. Kaluma, the taxes imposed to basic commodities like fuel was the highest in the history of the country as well as other East African countries; all this due to theft of public money by tenderpreneures who the President knows but has refused to contain for the obvious reasons.

Kaluma compared Kenya with Rwanda and Uganda saying Kenya was the worst country as far as economy is concerned. He further said the Kibaki-Raila era was the best for this country which saw a drastic growth in investments and infrastructure.

The MP added that Somalia and Tanzania have since improved a great deal than Kenya which has deliberately taken a downside trajectory.

Opposition supremo Raila Odinga.

His remarks were triggered by the current high taxing on fuel by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority EPRA.

All these is happening at the time Jubilee administration is at its highest borrowing spree from International Monetary Fund and other commercial lenders.

Recently, there was an uproar from members of the public after government secured a whopping sh 255 billion loan from the IMF.
