MP Salasya Humbles Linet Toto in Their Latest Public Altercation

Monday, February 13, 2023 –Mumias East Member of Parliament MP Peter Salasya has taken issue with Bomet Woman Representative Linet ‘Toto’ Chepkorir after her latest remarks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Addressing during Azimio la Umoja Rally held in Busia last Sunday February 12, Salasya reminded Toto of where she had come from saying it was now wrong to start exchanging with seasoned politicians just because she had some money and power.

“Another small girl who was just as poor as Salasya is out there hurling insults at Baba. Stop or else….

“Kanaongea ati kwa Baba, ntakaweka mimba huko next week,” Salasya hit back in a rally as everybody broke into laughter.

Toto’s recent sentiments on Raila did not go well with millions of supporters who thought she was punching above her weight.

“Nataka tu kusema jambo moja kwa Mzee Raila Odinga. Huyu mzee alianza siasa yake ya maandamano na siasa ya duni ata kabla sijazaliwa. Alianza siasa yake mwaka wa 1997 wakati sikua nimezaliwa. Akakuja 2002, akakuja 2007, akakuja 2017 sahi ako 2022 na anasema alifanyiwa nini? Aliibiwa. Nataka nikuambie yakwamba mheshimiwa wetu rais Ruto hawa watu wa Kenya walimpigia kura na walimchagua kama rais wao wa tano,” Toto said in a recent rally over the weekend.

Toto and Salasya are the youngest Members of Parliament MPs both who came from their respective humble backgrounds to emerge winners in the August 9 polls.
