Sunday, August 13, 2023 -Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Kalerwa Salasya watched 2023 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association KSSSA national football match finals while resting with the commoners and not at VIP pavilion.
Salasya, just like thousands of fans had to occupy space around the stadium just outside the touch line after all the available seats got occupied early.
Photos of Salasya following up the match between St. Anthony Boys Kitale and Dagoretti High from the touch line/ regular emerged later on Saturday evening.
In the thrilling match, Kitale-based St. Anthony High thrashed Dagoretti High School 2-0 in a win that was showcased at the Kakamega’s Bukhungu Stadium on Saturday.
The game which was attended to full capacity left fans excited as St Anthony continued dominating both first and second half of the match.
The Saturday win for Kitale Boys courtesy of sensational midfielder Aldriane Kibet left Western Region shoulders high in the National School games that ended on Saturday afternoon.
Aldrine Kibet scored the first and the second goal for St. Anthony’s Boys in the first half and second half of the entertaining weekend game.
Present in the event were Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Chief Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi among others.
