Tuesday, November 2, 2021 –Nyeri Town Lawmaker Ngunjiri Wambugu has sent mixed signals over his next political move ahead of 2022 elections saying he has to first observe the wave before making clear his loyalty.
This is just days after Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru decamped to the Hustler Nation led by Deputy President William Ruto.
And addressing yesterday Monday November1, MP Wambugu known to support the Handshake camp said he will need some time to listen and do self-evaluation to find out ‘in whose hands can he be safe in 2022’. He revealed that he is keenly observing the trends before making his conclusion.
“I have been listening to the ground and it’s clear that 2022 is between Raila Odinga and William Ruto.
“The questions to determine this election might be in whose hands are we safe?” the Nyeri Town MP said in a long Facebook post.
Of recent, Jubilee wing of President Uhuru Kenyatta has been losing diehards every now and then to the newly formed United Democratic Alliance UDA a brainchild of DP William Ruto what pundits have attributed to lack of consistency and clarity from the party boss who seems less strong to his Deputy.
MP Wambugu is on record having forewarned that Jubilee Party risk remaining a mere shell if urgent measures will not be taken to save it from imminent collapse.
