Wednesday, February 3, 2021 -Mr. Mukhisa Kituyi has finally quit his United Nations job.
Mr. Kituyi who has been the Secretary General United Nations Conference on Trade Development UNCTAD for 7 years is coming home to do full time politics.
He stepped down on Wednesday February 3 in a job he took over in 2013 and got re-elected for another 4 year term in July 2017.
He announced his interest in vying for the Presidency in 2022 in a race he is likely to face off with ODM’s Raila Odinga and UDA’s William Ruto.
“I am ready to serve the country owing to my international experience.
“It is no longer a secret. I will be going for the presidency in 2022. Nobody should tell us who to support. We need a president who will save this country and Kenyans from a bad economy,” Kituyi stated in his past interview.
A month ago, Kituyi was linked to Mr. Kivutha Kibwana with rumour flying around that the duo could join forces ahead of the 2022 race.
