Saturday, January 1, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto has revealed how Musalia Mudavadi allowed him to grace Malala’s event in Mumias on Friday December 31.
Speaking in Mumias where locals had gone to watch Cleo Malala annual tournament, Ruto disclosed that before attending the function, he had sought express permission from Mr. Mudavadi who is Malala’s boss.
“I also want to thank Musalia Mudavadi for helping Malala to establish the tournament. I know Malala has been wondering why I arrived unannounced. Just know that there’s a league that Musalia plays that you are not there yet. The permission I got was from Musalia Mudavadi, so don’t worry yourself,” Ruto stated much to the applause from the jovial crowd made up of youth.
Ruto and his allies appeared to invite Mudavadi into their Hustlers’ camp so that they may have a strong team that can face-off with Raila-Uhuru’s camp.
They also poured cold water on the OKA-ODM much touted deal saying Wetang’ula and Musalia can only find political friendship in United Democratic Alliance which they are invited to be part of.
“Would you want Mudavadi to work with a hustler or a man of parables?” Ruto posed a question to the crowd.
Malala who has been rumoured to be warming up towards Ruto noted that they are ready to work with the DP only if he can secure the interest of Western people.
Both Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto pitched camp in Western Region on Friday December 31 amid heated political temperatures.
While Ruto was gracing several relies in Bungoma and parts of Kakamega counties, the opposition chief was holding an end year Luhya Unity forum dubbed Bukhungu II in which he received a total of five MPs from ANC and Jubilee Parties.
Among the names of MPs who officially joined Raila’s Azimio event are Bernard Shinali of Ikolomani, ANC Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi, nominated Oku Kaunya fromTeso North, Emanuel Wangwe from Navakholo and ANC Deputy leader Ayub Savula.
Conspicuously missing in both events are Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula who had decided to attend to other matters elsewhere.
