Friday, August 13, 2021 -Amani National Congress Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has continued with his onslaught against Raila Odinga.
In his latest outburst, Mr. Mudavadi told Odinga to stop banking on political endorsement promises from anyone since history shows they have always been anchored on deceit.
He has also accused Raila of lying to the country that the president was favouring ODM candidature for the big seat.
Speaking this on Friday, the ANC Party leader noted that it was wrong for anyone to think that he had already been installed in place ready to take over free power without fighting for it.
He instead urged the opposition leader to go out and campaign like other candidates and to stop relying on political promises which may backfire anytime just like in the past.
“We want a moving Kenya and if Raila will drive Kenya forward then why to disagree with the backup, I support the backup but if the backup is after protecting individuals then we are losing big.
“It is the President’s right and prerogative to support whomever he wishes and but don’t lie to Kenyans that the President has endorsed you.
“I urge Raila to wake up from slumber and start campaigning like any other presidential candidates,” Mudavadi added.
The ANC party boss is among the politicians in the country who have already announced their candidature to vie for the top seat in 2022.
Deputy President William Ruto is also in the race and has been out and about seeking for votes throughout his tenure as the Vice President in Jubilee government.
