Friday, October 18, 2024 –Former Law Society of Kenya LSK President Nelson Havi wants President William Ruto to appoint Musalia Mudavadi as his deputy.

Former LSK President Lawyer Nelson Havi addressing

The lawyer argued that, only Mr. Mudavadi will serve in the position diligently and with respect, unlike, the other ‘two’ candidates being touted from other regions.

“The only person who can henceforth competently, effectively and faithfully deputize President William Ruto is Musalia Mudavadi. Those two other candidates are boisterous, childish and entitled. They will be worse than Rigathi Gachagua. For the record, I have no dog in the fight,” Havi commented.

He was saying this even as other rejoins among them Central Region leaders led by Senior Economic Advisor Moses Kuria proposed someone from the area.

“My beloved House of Mumbi. In 2022 we paid external debts by voting for a non Mt Kenya candidate. Time has come for us to complete the debt paying season by paying our domestic debt through supporting for our Meru and Embu siblings to lead us. History will judge us right Take it fron your economist son,” stated Kuria.

Kuria’s sentiments came against the backdrop of Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment at the Senate. The move to impeach Gachagua means the position is up for grabs amid fierce lobbying from interested candidates.

Kuria’s latest sentiments also followed his recent advice calling for peaceful and harmonious co-existence between the Mt. Kenya and other communities in the country. While underscoring the need for unity, the economic advisor said it was the only way to ensure the Mt. Kenya region was well represented in the current government going forward.
