Mudavadi to vie, Kikuyus Launch new Party

Friday, May 17, 2024 –Mt. Kenya Region has declared formation of a new outfit that will push their agenda as a community, saying the current Kikuyu leadership in government had failed to perform representation duty.

Addressing this concern during the highly-publicized rally dubbed ‘Limuru 3’ orgainsed today Thursday, the team agreed to form HAKI Coalition that will be led by Martha Karua and a few other notable leaders from their Region.

They announced that this will push for the region’s interests and unity under the guidance of former President Uhuru Kenyatta; insisting that he remains the region’s spokesperson despite resigning.

Leaders who had a chance to address accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of failing to protect the interest of the region despite being a top figure in Kenya Kwanza government.

Speaking on Friday during the Limuru III conference which brought together other political leaders, professionals and businessmen from Mt Kenya, the leaders also slammed the government over what they described as punitive taxation measures terming their support of the Kenya Kwanza Administration a mistake which should be corrected.

Miles away in Kakamega County, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi was declared the Mulembe Nation kingpin for the third time in an event organised by Central Organisation of Trade Union COTU boss Francis Atwoli.

In the event that was held at the historic Muliro Garden in the heart of Kakamega Town, it was agreed that, Mudavadi, who is currently a key figure in William Ruto’s government will be vying for the presidency in 2032.

Among the leaders who attended the event were Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba and scores of Kenya Kwanza-allied politicians.
