School principal Jane Mmbone today Monday May 8, affirmed that the institution is keen on making sure every student and teacher is safe amid panic that escalated after the confirmed poison claimed the third student and a female teacher in a span of just hours.

On their reporting on Monday, every student was required to present a fresh medical report from any recognised hospital before being admitted again. This was to ensure that anyone coming back at the schools is free from external ailments.

To impart confidence in the remaining learners, prayers will be held every evening with the clergies based at the school. This will be part of the healing process.

“On Tuesday, we will receive Form Threes and on Wednesday, the school will have a day of prayer for the two classes. On Thursday and Friday, Form Two and Form One students will report to the school respectively.

“On Saturday, it will be a day reserved for prayer. Afterward, there will be clergy who will be conducting prayers every evening,” the principal noted.

Water supplier in the school will be only Kericho Water and Sanitation Company Limited KWSCL.

The school principal assured that all the suspicious food was incinerated in Bamburi, Mombasa County.

In line with the psycho-social counseling requirements, upon reporting, learners will be subjected to the exercise so that panic can be reduced with slowly and gradually.

“We have groups from Kenya red cross, psychosocial counselling, and medics. As the students were at home, we requested the parents to take their children to the hospital. So, they’re reporting back with a medical report which will also be assessed by medics on the ground,” she added.
