Thursday, July 21, 2022 –Outspoken Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe has challenged Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua to prove that he was once Uhuru Kenyatta’s personal assistant.
Reacting to claims made by Gachagua during the recent running mate debate held a couple of days ago, Murathe wondered when Gachagua became Uhuru’s PA.
“From 2002, I served as the personal assistant to Uhuru Kenyatta,” remarked Rigathi who also added that he knows the character of Uhuru more than anybody else.
However, the Jubilee Vice Chairman has clarified that Mr. Gachagua just happened to be a special District Officer DO who Uhuru found in a ministry he had been appointed to by the the late President Daniel Moi.
It was during this season that Gachagua masqueraded as Uhuru Kenyatta’s personal assistant throughout; something that is not true.
“When Uhuru was appointed to the Ministry of Local Government, he met Rigathi there. He was a civil servant attached to that Ministry and as such had to work together,” Mr. Murathe claimed.
He also disclosed that in 2013 when Jubilee took power, Uhuru chose to work with Njee Muturi who was his personal assistant.
