Tuesday, April 27, 2021 -Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe wants Deputy President William Ruto to also appear before the Puplic Investment Committee to shed some more light on what he knows about KEMSA scandal.
Reacting to summons he received from the committee investigating the one million dollar saga, the Uhuru Kenyatta’s top ally noted that he had tendered his detailed explanation through a sworn affidavit on what transpired in the sh 4 billion saga he is accused of actively participating; and added that his duty was only to guarantee Kilig Limited get the tender to supply the personal Protective Equipment PPEs at KEMSA.
He has therefore threatened to make sure people behind the mentioned companies are also invited including Deputy President William Ruto.
“I will ask them to also summon Deputy President William Ruto because he was involved through proxies in the KEMSA scandal,” Murathe threatened.
On his part, Ruto has constantly rubbished Murathe’s sentiments terming all the Covid-19 billionaires a threat to the economy of this country.
In many interviews, Dr. Ruto has been heard asking relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate everyone who benefited or wanted to benefit from the loot.
