Murathe trashes Uhuru, Ruto Handshake rumour

Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe has termed Uhuruto reconciliation reports doing round on the interweb as ‘total’ fabrications from desperados.

Just two days after internet was awash with reports that Ruto and his boss Uhuru Kenyatta would be making it out again, Murathe has rubbished the rumour terming it as the usual propaganda.

Murathe on Thursday October 15 further noted that Ruto/Uhuru Handshake was mere wishful hopes peddled by desperate Tangatanga bloggers and politicians who have no clue what goes on at the Statehouse.

“The president is busy serving the nation and those claiming that there is a planned truce are talking to themselves,” Murathe reacted.

According to Nominated MP Maina Kamanda and Mr. Murathe, Ruto and his allies were spreading the fake news so as to shake the Handshake deal between the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga and his newly found ally President Uhuru Kenyatta.

They added that, as far as they are concerned, there were no any signs of truce between the duo(Ruto and Uhuru) because it was inconsequential for now.

“We are telling them that we cannot be distracted. With the way Ruto is disrespecting the president, who wants to associate with him?” MP Kamanda posed.

And speaking on the issue, Suba South legislator John Mbadi, warned that such a truce would interfere with Odinga/Uhuru Handshake at the time when they had started achieving a lot under the leadership of the two.

“The person leading the reconciliation talks should either tell Uhuru to abandon his peace and unity agenda of the country and help Ruto’s selfish 2022 presidential campaign, or tell Ruto to stop early campaigns and help in service delivery,” Mbadi stated.

Moments later, DP Ruto allies came out distancing themselves from such truce talks saying they were also not interested in such gymnastics. They however, said Uhuru should consider restoring DP’s roles and ask his juniors to stop disrespecting his deputy.

Caleb Kositany, another vocal DP ally, said the second Handshake rumours were not true but that what would be of relevance for now is to deliver services to Kenyans most of who have not been touched since the rise to power of Uhuru and Mr. Ruto.
