Monday, January 24, 2022 –Mr. Francis Atwoli has claimed that Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi’s ‘earthquake speech’ was purely crafted by Deputy President William Ruto.

In a statement from Mombasa where he was addressing journalists today Monday January 24, the Central Organization of Trade Union COTU Secretary General said Mudavadi’s Bomas speech depicted a person who was helpless and desperate under William Ruto.

“Anybody who has been listening to what William Ruto has been talking about me, Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta can attest that it was him who crafted that speech.

“The speech was not Musalia’s. This was an imported language. He (Musalia) has over the years portrayed himself as a humble person who doesn’t want to attack others,” Atwoli addressed.

He described the ANC Party leader as a man on the path of self-destruction after failing to help himself politically. He added that Musalia was now a bitter person who now wants to pick war with anybody around him.

The unionist termed the ANC Party boss as a person hell-bent on fighting those who built him to be what he is today.

“In 2016, I spent over 200 million shillings trying to resuscitate Mudavadi back to political life by making him the spokesman of the Luhya community during the Bukhungu one meeting and at that time, in his eyes, I was a good boy and COTU (K) was a firebrand workers’ union,” narrated Atwoli.

ANC Party boss Musalia Mudavadi endorsed to carry party flag in August polls.

He asked Western Region people to be wary of where Musalia wants to take them saying both Mudavadi and Wetang’ula were using their small parties to earn a living by auctioning the community.

Atwoli’s today’s remarks were a direct response to Mudavadi’s ‘earthquake speech at Bomas which was heavily directed at him, Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta. Mudavadi called out Mr. Atwoli as a failed trade leader who should pave way for new leadership at COTU.

“It’s (COTU) dominated by a few people who properly boast and display their trappings of massive opulence. Clueless and clowning self-serving leadership Under the labor sector,” Mudavadi described Atwoli at Bomas as chants of Atwoli must go rented the air.

The Amani leader went on to call out the ‘greatest thieves and cartels’ in Kenya who steal with their relatives under the guise of protecting the poor.
