Photos from Uganda showed the Kenya’s second in command appearing in high spirits while presiding over the high profile event.
“We are keen to building partnerships with other African countries to move the continent away from only packaging and labeling of drugs to the restructuring of its market to focus more on upstream production.
“This new commitment to buying locally manufactured vaccine doses at large-scale will ease African countries’ import bill, enhance their export earnings and sustainably boost the ordinary people’s health status,” Ruto addressed.
This is not the first time Ruto is presiding over an important role in the neighboring Uganda, more often he is invited by the Uganda’s head of State for various duties.
For instance last year, Uganda named a building at Makerere University after William Ruto what triggered some hundreds of reactions.
