Speaking on Eve Mungai Youtube channel on Wednesday May 10, the rapper revealed that, just after his first confirmation interview on his plight, his M-Pesa started receiving donations from around the world.
“I was surprised that even my old friends whom I had no idea where they are called and donated money. I am overwhelmed by their gesture,”
In his own account of how things unraveled so fast, the ex-Deux Vultures member stated that his mobile phone kept ringing nonstop as money streamed in by minute.
His usual Safaricom line quickly hit cash limit forcing him to run to Safaricom shop for a second line as he waited for an official Pay Bill Number to be processed.
“The viral clip leaked on a weekend. Money and calls started streaming in and, on reaching deposit limit, I rushed to get another second line which again filled up so fast. I was sweating.
“My friends from all over the world kept calling and complaining why I stopped receiving money. They thought I had blocked the M-Pesa transactions. It was an unusual moment,” he added.
He, therefore, told Youtuber Mungai that he has since secured a Pay Bill for himself which is currently still receiving more money.
Asked about his music career, Mustafa said he could just do one more song to thank all those who made heartfelt contributions for him.
He further pointed out that should his fans like the song, he may contemplate doing more; but this will strictly depend on the reception.
