Monday, August 14, 2023 –Popular radio presenter Alex Mwakideu has called it quits from Milele FM.
The veteran broadcaster who has been at the station for five years made this announcement on Monday August 14 adding that his stay at the Media Max was enjoyable but time to move out had finally come.
He made this news through his official social media platforms and thanked everyone who was part of his success during his stay at the station.
“I say thank you to you listeners because without you there cannot be radio. You are the reason that we have a radio,” he profoundly remarked.
The presenter also seized the opportunity to thank his colleagues – both current and past – at the station saying it was a pleasure working together.
“Thank you. We did it. Page closed. Onto the next one,” he signed off in style.
Though he did not reveal where he was headed next, the journalist, instead, sought guesswork from his followers whom he asked to guess where next?
Mwakideu has been in the media industry for over 23; having secured his first job at Baraka FM, Mombasa in 2000 where he worked for a decade before coming to Nairobi to join Radio Maisha for eight years.
And at Milele, the jovial presenter teamed up well with the now Lang’ata Member of Parliament MP Phelix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o then later Jackline Nyamide aka Wilbroda.
