Sunday, March 24, 2024 –Kenya Medical Supplies Agency KEMSA cartels have been blamed for fighting Ministry of Health Cabinet Secretary CS Susan Nakhumicha.
Addressing in Western Kenya on Saturday March 24, the Health CS claimed that the people she had stopped from doing business at the medical agency are now hellbent on ousting her from the ministry docket.
“Some individuals whom I have fought at the KEMSA are now feeling jealous of me as I go on performing and cleaning the rot in the Health Ministry.
“Those who used to mess KEMSA now want me out and I know are the one sponsoring all these noise you are hearing out there,” she stated.
According to Nakhumicha, her resolve to lower the sh 500 NHIF to sh 300 was rubbing some individuals the wrong way.
She also claimed that the many jobless young men in the country are what she want helped in paying the NHIF health premiums; what some cartels do not want.
She was speaking this in Western Kenya where she had traveled together with Speaker Moses Wetang’ula amid doctors’ countrywide strike.
Doctors and nurses want interns in the medical sector also remunerated like any other on global standards.
