Friday, February 18, 2022 –Nation Newspaper sports writer Titus Mahero was on Friday February 18 evening found dead with body decomposing in his house in Kakamega County.

The seasoned sports journalist who was a correspondent based in Kakamega County reportedly committed suicide inside his residence at Lulonda Village Navakholo Subcounty, in Kakamega.

Alongside the decomposing body was a lengthy suicide note listing reasons why he had to take his own life.

Media reports told that the 59-year-old was suffering from depression coupled with Intestinal Cancer for over 15 years.

“We were with him on Thursday last week. He was looking stable but alitlle disturbed in mind. We Think he was on his way,” a source claimed.

Police have since moved his body to Kakamega County Referral Mortuary.
