The National Assembly has approved the appointment of former IEBC Chairperson Isack Hassan to chair the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) following a successful approval hearing on Friday.
In a statement confirming the appointment, on Wednesday, November 26, the National Assembly noted that Hassan had been approved alongside seven other members nominated to serve on the board.
“The National Assembly has approved the following persons for appointment as Chairperson and as Members of the Board of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority,” the National Assembly made the announcement.
They include; Ann Wanjiku Mwangi, Micah Onyiego Nyakego, Boniface Kipkemoi Samati, Annet Mudolah Mbogo, John Muchiri Nyaga, Ken Williams Nyakomitah and Jackline Lukalo Mwenesi.
