Friday, July 29, 2022 –Latest opinion poll released on Friday July 29 shows that not Mr. Raila Odinga nor Deputy President William Ruto will win election in first round.
Popular research firm, Trends and Insights TIFA, has released a new poll which indicates that no one between the two has a hit the 50 plus mark.
Though Azimio la umoja-One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga is a bit ahead of DP William Ruto with only 2 points, his percentage in popularity will not guarantee him a quick win within the first round.
In the poll seen by this desk on Friday July 29 afternoon, Raila’s popularity has gone up by 4 percent upto 46.7 percent as that of William Ruto of United Democratic Alliance UDA Party grew by 5 percent to 44.4 percent. This is due to the reducing level of undecided votes around the country.
On the same note, the Roots Party leader George Luchiri Wajackoyah is standing at 1.8 percent popularity countrywide as Agano’s David Mwaure garners 0.1 percent.
Comparing these outcomes with the previous one, Raila and Ruto have both improved since the former was at 42 percent while the latter was at 39 percent in the last poll.
The general election is scheduled to take place on August 9; only 10 days away from now.
