Wednesday, March 29, 2023 –Former boxing star Conjestina Achieng has almost fully recovered eight months after she was airlifted to a rehabilitation center in Mombasa.
Photos have been shared by former Nairobi County governor Mike Sonko showing a fully recovered Conjestina in a gym working out.
This time, according to the former Nairobi County boss, he will not allow her to go back to the ‘shackles of doom’ in her Siaya County rural.
Sonko, today Wednesday March 29, mentioned that Ms Conjestina will be overall assistant head of security and head of all female bouncers at the multimillion Club Volume Mombasa at night and during peak hours of holidays.
“I have already prepared a good plan for her where she will also be earning a salary. She will be the overall assistant head of security and head of all female bouncers at Club Volume Mombasa at night & during peak hours/holidays.
“She will also serve as the head trainer in all the gyms in our establishments (Salama Bling Beach Resort, Kimeremeta Safari Lodge etc…)” he promised.
As a long term measure, the politician-cum-businessman added that he will be opening for her a state-of-the-art boxing training centre where she will be training and nurturing new talents.
Commenting on the development, sports media personality, Carol Radull, lauded Mike Sonko’s efforts in helping the former boxer come back to her feet.
“Eight months in the centre in Mombasa and my girl Conjestina Achieng looks so good! Work in a gym awaits her upon completion where she will be training young boxers. Thank you, Mike Sonko. We never give up” she stated.
Mike Sonko has been at the center of Conjestina’s rescue plans after her photos had surfaced online in which she was completely a shadow of her former self.
