Tuesday, May 24, 2022 –Dennis Karani Gichoki, a man named in the chilling Mirema Drive murder is now believed to be the driver of the getaway car.

Dennis Karani Gachoki arrives at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Making their argument today at Milimani Magistrate Court, the DCI noted that Karani may not have been the person who pulled the bloody trigger but he was an accomplice and who gave the instructions to shoot and kill.

The investigating officer told the court that in the CCTv clip retrieved from the scene, it was clear that the killer was not alone.

“This crime was committed by more than two actors your honour. The respondent before the court is highly suspected to be the person behind the wheel,” the lead investigator expressed in the court.

The officer also asked the court to pressure Karani to submit the killer weapon to the police before the case officially kicks on.

It was also established that the bereaved family was still mourning the late and therefore they had not submitted their statements as it is required by law.
