Nick Mwendwa Hints at Remaining in Office

Tuesday, October 15, 2024 –Football Kenya Federation FKF President Nick Mwendwa hints at another term as head of football in the country.

Addressing the media at FKF headquarters on Sunday October 14, Mr. Mwendwa explained that he is willing to deputise his deputy Doris Petra in the interest of football in the country.

“Being a deputy is not a bad thing. I want to do away with the mentality that we must always be number one. We have to end that culture and, sometimes, we need to embrace being number two,” he announced.

This statement ahead of the national FKF election that will pit them against Hussein Mohamed and McDonlad Mariga signalling his resolve to remain in the office despite his wanting performance and a barrage of cases.

Also in the race in former president Sam Nyamweya who also tendered his participation papers yesterday October 14.
