Friday, August 6, 2021 -Gikomba Market traders are counting huge losses following huge night fire that occurred at the market.
The mysterious fire, according to our sources, gutted down their stalls and premises destroying valuables of unknown value.
It is reported that all the traders who stock clothes lost their stock in the midnight inferno that started at around 12AM on Friday August 6.
Most of those affected were operating along Molo Line area which is mostly referred to as Ghorofani. This led to the owners spending their night out trying to look for help from authorities.
When the fire engines arrived from the Nairobi Fire Department, it was too late and little could be salvaged.
This is not the first time mysterious fires are burning down the market, Kigomba has had its share of destruction almost every year.
Victims have linked this to city politics anytime there is nearing an election.
