Monday, September 12, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga has turned down William Ruto’s inauguration invitation at Kasarani tomorrow.
Speaking from outside the country on Monday September 12 evening, Mr. Odinga briefly highlighted what reasons he has not to attend the ceremony scheduled to take place at the Moi Sports Center Kasarani in Nairobi tomorrow Tuesday, September 12.
He stated that, though, Ruto not only phoned him in person, he(Raila) also received a special invitation from the organizers, but he will not be available.
“This evening, William Ruto called me and also invited me for his inauguration at Kasarani. I regret that I will not be available because I am out of the country; and secondly, I have other serious concerns too,” he started in the statement seen by this writer.
Among the concerns listed by Odinga, top was that the election process was not free and fair as well as the Supreme Court’s recent ruling was completely pedestrian despite the fact that he had accepted it.
Odinga then added that once he returns in the country later this week, he will embark on the next course of action together with fellow Azimio colleagues.
