Tuesday, May 18, 2021 -Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party is leading in Bonchari Constituency by-election held in Kisii County.
Taking to his Twitter Handle on Tuesday May 18, Blogger Dennis Itumbi conceded that ODM had run away with the victory and, at the same time, congratulated them for mounting a spirited campaign to reclaim their seat.
“Congratulations Oimeke, ODM for winning Bonchari. With FIVE Polling stations to go, I call it for ODM. UDA behind with 300,” tweeted Itumbi.
Miles away in Rurii Ward in Juja, Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance and its affiliate PEP Party is ahead despite claims of rigging which led to some chaos that police had to however contain.

Social media activist Abuga Makori also congratulated the ODM Party for their early lead in Bonchari saying the game was as good as over.
“ODM candidate for Bonchari Eng. Pavel Oimeke wins the by-election which was closely contested. He’s projected to score almost 8,000. He’s closely followed by Zebedeo Opore of Jubilee and UDA’s Teresa Bitutu,” he claimed.
ODM fielded Eng. Pavel Oimeke who was the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) director-general before scandals haunted him out office.
