Saturday, April 10, 2021 -A day after meeting with Deputy President William Ruto at a hotel somewhere, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya was hours later seen at Odinga’s Karen home.
Accompanied by Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Oparanya had earlier described his meeting with Mr. Ruto as a coincidence devoid of any politics.
He has however revealed to the media that his meeting with Raila a day later was to brief him on how to make their Orange Party stronger in Western Region. He also shared with Odinga on what better alliances can make ODM easily ascend to power in 2022.
“Today I held a lengthy meeting with my Party Leader Hon @RailaOdinga at his Karen home. We discussed a range of issues affecting our party @TheODMparty and the Country. The former PM also held talks with my brother CS @EugeneLWamalwa,” Oparanya updated on Twitter.

About his meeting with Ruto on Thursday April 8 at the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, the Kakamega Governor finally disclosed sharing political ideas about a possibility of coming up with a strong formation.
Oparanya and Ruto met in the lodge where there was also former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa and sacked CS Mwangi Kiunjuri. Echesa when asked, clarified that Oparanya was holding a separate political meeting when they stumbled upon each other.
Now according to new revelations, when the duo(Oparanya and Ruto) met, the former quickly phoned Odinga about it who then gave him a greenlight to hold the meeting.
The controversial meeting with the second in command has since ignited speculations about a Raila-Ruto team for 2022.
Ruto-Odinga plan game has remained the topic in many political arenas some saying, if true, this could be another big force that can easily win elections in 2022.
