Orange Democratic Movement ODM Deputy Party leader Wycliffe Oparanya has mounted a serious campaign machinery in Matungu.
In his bid to make sure he gives the Amani National Congress ANC Party a run for their money, Oparanya has for the second month camped in the area with a series of daily rallies.
“Today I held several rallies in Matungu to campaign for our @TheODMparty Candidate Hon David Were. I urged residents to shun away from divisive politics and embrace peaceful coexistence during this campaigning period. I am optimistic Hon Were will emerge the winner,” he commented.

Matungu by-election slated March 4, 2021 attracted all major rival camps in the political arena including DP’s UDA Party candidate Alex Lanya, ANC candidate Peter Nabulindo and ODM’s David Were.
The ODM Party fronted the veteran politician also the former MP who still stands high chances of running away with this victory.
