Saturday, January 29, 2022 –Kakamega County Governor Wickliffe Oparanya has thanked Deputy President William Ruto for taking away Musalia Mudvadi from Luhya Community.

Addressing in his Azimio tour function held in Mumias Town in Kakamega on Saturday January 29, the 2^nd time governor argued that for a long period, Musalia had held the community at ransom without helping it in terms of development. He added that the recent action by Musalia and Wetang’ula to join forces with William Ruto was a reprieve for the community which for decades had been burdened by their presence.

Oparanya recounted how he begged the two leaders to fold their parties so that to come up with a strong unit that could champion the interests of Mulembe Nation but the two rejected his noble proposal.

“I asked Musalia and Wetang’ula to break their parties. I was also ready to leave ODM Party so that we can make one strong party for this region but they refused. This is because they are making money from their small kiosks. Fraud,” the governor remarked.

The visibly charged up governor reminded his supporters that Musalia was not helping their community in any way and his joining forces with the DP was a blessing.

“The person who started confusing Musalia is Wetang’ula who had been tasked by DP Ruto to talk to Mudavadi. Wetang’ula was contracted to persuade Mudavadi. He then called Senator Cleophas Malala and gave him a sub-contract that finally sealed the deal,” Oparanya disclosed.

The ODM deputy party boss went on to urge residents of his region to embrace Azimio la Umoja which he claimed will involve the community in governance of this country.

He also assured his supporters that he was willing to take over leadership of Western Region now that those who have been interfering with his wishes had left to Ruto’s Hustlers Nation.
