Sunday, January 28, 2024 -Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has admitted having been booed by fellow women in Nairobi CBD.
In a statement she shared on Sunday January 28 noon, Passaris noted that, she faced some hostile crowds of women who were protesting in town over increased deaths cases of young girls in the hands of their lovers.
She, however, said the noise was politically motivated by her haters.
“I was booed because I was the available punching bag to let out frustrations and to settle political scores.
“Not because “you did little too late”. I have been on a planning wall with CSOs for the Femicide March from inception,” she responded.
MP Passaris added that she was part of the women march upto it’s end.
On Friday, women poured on the streets in demand of justice for women who have been brutally murdered.
Rita Waeni, a student, was found cut into pieces by men believed to be her friends from Nigeria.
Several similar cases have followed in a span of just weeks.
