Saturday, July 22, 2023 –Uhuru Kenyatta’s longtime blogger and digital strategist Pauline Njoroge has reportedly been arrested.
Her arrest was made public by a section of close colleagues and lawyers who claimed the Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary was arrested by Watamu Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI officers.
“Pauline Njoroge arrested by Watamu DCI officers,” Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru confirmed.
Her arrest coming just a day after former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s eldest son Jomo Kenyatta’s Karen residence was raided by the police searching for weapons on Friday July 21 evening.
Uhuru would come to his rescue where he lamented that his family had been put on State radar for things he did not know.
“Come for me instead of intimidating my 90-year-old mother and my children. Why are you focused on the wrong person?” Uhuru posed.
Arrest of Uhuru’s allies coming amid intensified calls by former Jubilee Party MPs calling for the arrest of ex-president over his involvement in Azimio matters.
They believe the former President has been financing the ongoing anti-State demonstrations in the country.
The majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah, while addressing in Vihiga County today Saturday July 22, urged President William Ruto to continue exercising his mandate as president and protect the Kenyan people from rogue licensed firearm holders.
“You saw some complaining yesterday that their children were being harassed by police. Why do you have firearms in your house, what battles are you fighting in your house,” he questioned.
Nonetheless, Uhuru vowed to defend his family from any attacks and dared the government to withdraw every State security away.
