Friday, March 10, 2023 –Tourism Cabinet Secretary, Peninah Malonza, on Friday, March 10, sacked Communication strategist, Pauline Njoroge.
The strategist was among the board members who were fired by the new William Ruto administration that is keen on replacing everybody Uhuru Kenyatta had hired during the Jubilee Party era.
Homenews.co.ke had a privilege to look at the Gazette Notice in which CS Malonzo also fired KTN News anchor Najma Ismael who had resigned from Standard Group PLC on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 (1) (g) of the Tourism Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage revokes the appointment of five members,” Malonza stated.
On the list of those who have also been axed unceremoniously are Kevin Muasya, Alais Lenana Momoi, and Isaac Muchiri Njangu.
Ms Malonza did not make any immediate appointments to the board, nor explain reasons for firing the board members, who were mostly allied with Rtd President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ms Pauline also served as a Digital Media Strategist for Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Coalition before the August 9 2022 General Election which they lost to Kenya Kwanza alliance.
