Police Breaks Silence on Trailing Gachagua

Chris

Security sources cited by a local publication now claim that surveillance on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who last night alleged being trailed by state agents in unmarked cars, is part of standard protection measures.

Gachagua is considered a “critical component of national stability” and must be monitored to help preempt any schemes that could endanger his life or disrupt public order.

“Security agents in unmarked cars have been following me wherever I go. They are parking at the entrance of my Nairobi residence, taking note of all my visitors, and they trail me whenever I leave the house, even all the way to my rural home in Nyeri,” he raised alarm.

The politician argued that in this era of extrajudicial killings, forced abductions and disappearances by State agents, he thought it important to share with Kenyans the harassment and intimidation he has been facing since leaving office.
